Recently finished two interesting pieces of work for Syngas, an Australian oil and gas company. One was editing/writing a submission for R&D funds and the other for a Pre-Feasibility Study.
Project details are confidential, but the company’s public web site describes it like this: “The Clinton Project is what is called a Coal-Biomass-to-Liquid (CBTL) project.” Their web site states, “the Project ….. involves the development, commissioning and operation of a large scale, long-term premium diesel production facility.” It also says the “feedstock is currently expected to be supplemented by non-food biomass sourced from the local area as part of the Company’s carbon management strategy.” See www.syngas.com.au.
Fascinating stuff, with significant potential economic and environmental benefits.
