Ian and Ann live in Adelaide, South Australia.
Born and educated in England, Ian met Ann, an Aussie living in London, in 1970 while he was teaching there.
They married in Birmingham in 1972 and came to live in Australia in 1974. They have two adult children, one a communications and management specialist who returned to Adelaide after running her own consultancy for 17 years in Sydney including a two-year stint in Amsterdam and is now Partnerships and Engagement Advisor at the Adelaide City Council; the other is an Innovations Adviser for SA Water.
Ann was Director of Community Services for the City of Prospect and retired after 22 years service. She was a member of the Libraries Board of South Australia for nine years. Ann enjoys reading, walking, cooking and travel.
Ian is a recreational musician and occasional freelance consultant specialising in business writing. He helped establish the SA Live Music Club Inc and was a member of its management team for the past 15 years. He was a Trustee (Board Member) of the History Trust of South Australia for nine years and Board Member of Connecting Up for eight.
He enjoys reading, travel, photography, fixing old bicycles and playing guitar and keyboards in a rock ‘n’ roll band.
